Dejavous - I have one framed in my living room. It is of one of the statues of a roman soldier looking down onto the Roman Baths with the Abbey in the background. Not sure if I have that on CD - I will check tomorrow. I also have one in my hall - a golden eagle made by drawing it out then building it up with paper mache. If and when I can find a photo of it I will scan it in and put it up. Its not the sort of thing you can put in the scanner now!

Enough for tonight though - I'm off to my bed. I have been gardening all day and I am whacked!

They are beautiful DL.

Our Spinners and Weavers group dabbled in oils a few years back to get the feel of designing handwoven tapestries but I haven't tried water colours at all.

I'll look forward to seeing more DL

Having viewed zillions of artist's during the yrs. I did the outdoor juried art shows... you are certainly a true professional.

As promised - some more pictures.

The first is another design for a Christmas Card and its the watering hole in the village where I grew up.

The second is a picture of the papier mache golden eagle which I have framed in my house. I took it into the garden this afternoon and took a quick digipic. Having built up the papier mache I then painted it over in Acrylics and when it was dry gave it a coat of varnish.

This is a pencil and wash I did of St Paul's Cathedral. It took me ages to do and its not perfect, but maybe I'll have another go some time. I used this one for Christmas Cards too.

WOWEEEE DL. The picture is great and that eagle really is something.
Stunning is the only word I can think of to describe it.

Thanks for showing them and I must say I have never seen an eagle like that before. Brilliant.

More! The first is my neighbour's daughter in watercolour from a photo I took of her up in the woods. The second is Lansdown Crescent in Bath and I made it into a farewell card for someone who was leaving Bath.

And now I'm off to bed - night night!

No, I don't mind Monsy - I'm flattered. Mind you, I could sell you the originals for £500 apiece!

Miriam - So sorry, I posted around the same time as you the other night and I have only just seen your comments. I am totally gobsmacked that you think they are so good! I'm a bit of a perfectionist and I am never 100% satisfied with what I have done.

Someone was asking much earlier if I have any framed and around the house. I mentioned the Roman Baths one and have found two photos of it. One in and one out of its frame. (Think it was my "purple period"!!!)

The other framed picture in the photo was one I did of Gold Hill in Shaftesbury. I intended putting both pictures in an exhibition run by our local art teacher, but she said she did not like Gold Hill - the colours were too bright. She had to admit though that I had got the vanishing points right. She had once told the class never to attempt Gold Hill because many professional artists had tried and failed! That's what made me have a go at it!
