Poor Garden Birds

UPDATE:

The birds are coming back.

After several weeks without finches of any kind, they started to come back a couple of days ago and now we have several goldfinches, chaffinches and one or two green finches.

The cold weather is probably making them look further afield now, so, I do hope that the virus has gone from our region now and they will not be catching this nasty bug.
If at first you don't succeed, sky diving isn't for you!

Oh I am pleased for you monika I would be upset if the bird disappeared from my garden.
Up to now I have found only one dead bird in the garden, it didn't look ill or as if a cat had killed it.
We will have to alter our feeding for a while as workmen have been working on the river and pond and may have disturbed some rats we had one in the garden yesterday.

I'm so pleased to hear that, Monika. I know how I would feel if my birds started disappearing.
