Pork steaks with demerara and mushrooms

2 pork steaks or good sized chops
about 1/4lb small cup mushrooms sliced.
onelarge tomato
demerara sugar
cooking fat

In casserole dish melt fat.
lay sliced mushrooms in base
put in the steaks and baste with the fat
cut circles of large tomato and put them on top of steaks.
put lid on dish

Centre oven, mod heat 350. for exactly one hour,forget about them for now.

Remove from oven, turn steaks over (putting toms to side of dish)
put about a desset spoon of dem.sugar on each and replace lid.
Put back in oven for about the same time.
Remember when serving to use any remaining liquid fat etc by putting it in the gravy. Enjoy. cheers Penny :grouphug:
