For anyone with grandchildren to amuse, this is vry simple and quick to make.

1 cup salt
2 cups of plain flour
2 tablepoons cooking oil
4 teaspoons cream of tartar
2 cups of water
a little colouring added to the water.

Mix ingredients in a good sized saucepan, cook, stirring well.
Goes into a lump like dough.
Takes about 4 - 5 mins only.

Alllow to cool and then place in a plastic bag, keep it in fridge.
Will stay fresh for about a month.

Ideal for kiddies and non messy.

I think I'll pass on that one - knowing my wee one, it will be mouldering away under the table legs, in the cupboards, under her bed.........
