Crunchy biscuit with a difference

Try these if you like to nibble.
4 oz. (125) butter
3 oz. (90g.) grated strong cheddar, grated
5 oz. (150g.)Self Raising flour
21/2 oz (80g.) crushed Corn Flakes
1 egg. lightly beaten egg
pinch cayenne pepper
little milk
Beat butter, cheese and pepper in bowl and mix till smooth
Stir in sifted flour, Corn flakes and egg.
Roll rounded teaspoons of mixture into balls and place about 1 inch apart on greased oven trays.
Flatten tops with a fork and brush with a little milk
Bake in pre-heated oven 350f. for about 15 mins, or until lightly brown.
Cool on trays.
Makes about 45.
