Half cans of fizzy drinks which have lost their sparkle can be re-fizzed. Simply add a pinch of bi-carbonate of soda and shake well.

A good substitute for a cork screw. A good sized screw with string tied around the head to pull out the cork.

If carrying bottles in the boot of your car, to stop them rattling together and possibly breaking, slip each one inside an old wooly sock.

To pep up an ordinary cup of coffee, sprinkle a little grated chocolate on top and a sprinkling of cinammon. Top with a tablespoon of whipped cream. Lovely continental type drink.

Tea keeps its flavour much better if kept in a glass jar rather than the usual tea caddy.

If you grow your own herbs, try placing same on a baking tray at the bottom of a warm oven These can then be crushed and bottled when dry. Save a fair bit of cash.
