Raspberry and Banana flan

Have ready an 8" shortcrust flan case. (home cooked or bought)

1 lb bananas
grated rind and juice of 1 lemon
1 level tablespoon sugar
15.1/2 oz can of raspberries
half of a 1pint raspberry jelly tablet.

Peel bananas , toss lightly in the lemond rind, 1 tablespoon of the juice and the sugar.
Mash with fork and spread over base of pastry case.
drain raspberries and reserve juice.
Make up the jelly to 1/2 pint with the juice, rest of lemon juice and as much water as required to reach 1/2 pint.
Cool jelly until it is consistency of unbeaten egg white
Arrange raspberries over banana mix
When jelly is on the point of setting spoon over the fruit and leave to set.
