Crumbly banana squares

6 oz sugar
6 oz margarine
8oz self-raising flour
3.1/2 oz porridge oats
1 oz sultanes or similar fruit
2 medum bananas, mashed.
Little caster sugar for sprinkling on top after cooking.

Cream marg and sugar
Add flour and oats to make a crumbly mix. Sprinkle half this mix into a baking tray - 8 x 12"
Press mix down lightly
Spread the mashed banana over the top of the mix and sprinkle the fruit over
Cover with the rest of the crumbly mix and again press mix down lightly.
Bake in pre heated oven for 25 - 30 mins. until golden.
Sprinkle with caster sugar.

Oven 200c. 400f. gas mark 6.

Wait until it cools and then cut into chunks.
