Kiddies treats for grownups

Experimenting today came up with these.

4 oz soft marg
4 oz caster sugar
4 oz s.r. flour
2 eggs, beaten
4 tablespoons ovaltine

Cream sugar and marg.
add eggs and tablespoon of the flour
mix in rest of flour and ovaltine
scoop a good dessertspoon of mix into cup cases
place suitable tray

enough for 12 cup cases.
Pre heated oven.
Gas mark 3,..325F 170C

take 20 - 25 mins.

When cold decorate with melted choc, or glace icing.

Got the grandchildren for the weekend so decided to try something different, hubby is my taster and said they are delighful and very light.

That sounds great Penny. Does anyone remember Ovaltine chocolate bars - they used to have crunchy bits in them.
