Postby Penny » Fri Feb 22, 2008 4:03 pm

1 tablespoon white balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
pinch salt
ground black pepper
1 teaspoon made mustard
2 gammon steaks (or pork steaks)
1 small can of button mushrooms
1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley

In a basin mix;

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
salt and pepper
made mustard

Trim the steaks and clip fat edges so no curling.
Spread the mixture over both sides and leave for 1 hour.
Heat rest of oil in a frying pan and add steaks without draining off mixture.
cook in hot oil for about 5 minutes each side, until fat is brown and crisp and meat is cooked to preference.
Remove steaks from pan and keep them warm.
Drain and slice mushrooms
Add to pan in left-over marinade
Stir them around in pan to absorb marinade
Arrange steaks on serving dish and spoon the mushroom mix over.
Serve with mashed potato and peas.

cheers Penny

Note; sprinkle the chopped parsley on mushrooms when heating (if available)
