Quickie jam sponge

Passed to me today.

3 tablespoons jam
4 oz margarine
2 large eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
4 oz self raising flour.

Lightly grease a 30 fl.oz. microwaveable bowl
Place jam in base and spread round - put to one side
In another bowl cream marge and sugar
Gradually add eggs and vanilla essence
Add flour and mix well
Transfer this mix to bowl with jam in.
Cover with a suitable plate
Microwave for 3 1/2 mins., on high.(based on 800w)

Serve with lashings of custard.
