Try this, it's different, very tasty and simple.
.
8 pork sausages
2lb potatoes, peeled and cubed
3 bramley apples
3/4 oz butter
1 onion, sliced thinly
4 tablespoons instant gravy mix
salt and pepper
1 tablespoon vegetable oil.

Cook sausages to taste.Put to one side.
Put potato cubes in a large pan with water just to cover.
Season, bring to boil then simmer 10 mins.
Peel and quarter 2 (TWO) of the apples and add to potato pot.
Simmer for a further five mins, or until both are tender.
Drain, reserving about 3/4 pt. of the cooking water
Mash with the butter and season to taste.
Heat the oil in a pan and gently fry the onion until golden, about 5 mins.
Peel, core and quarter the remaining apple and add to the onions,
cook gently until tender and golden, about 8 mins.
Add the reserved liquid and gravy mix.
Stir well until gravy thickens
Serve alongside the sausages.

cheers Penny.
