Cold Boiled Gammon!

Postby toolip2 » Mon Feb 02, 2009 8:42 pm

Any ideas what I can do with a piece of cold boiled gammon...apart from apologise to the pig! :roflmao:

We had it hot with peas pudding and new pots.tonight. I had risotto instead of pots. What can I make with the left overs? Sarnies, bit of pickle but there must be something else I can rustle up.

Ideas :please:

Maybe Penny or VM can come up with something - they are good at thinking up recipes.

Chicken and bacon pie (not sure if you can make a non-fattening pastry tho!) Of course, it helps if you also have some left-over chicken.

Make macaroni cheese and put pieces of gammon in it - lovely.

You could experiment with making gammon burgers, mince the left over gammon, add a few breadcrumbs. minced onion, plenty of seasoning and if liked, a beaten egg. Then fry. cheers Penny

All good ideas. I still have the bacon and it is fresh so will try one of your ideas. Thanks! :grouphug:

I have just seen the tasty bacon pasta recipe by Penny. I could try this one too couldn't I?
