Lasagne
Ingredients (serves 4)
Lasagne
2 large onions- chopped
Garlic – to taste
Olive oil
Ground pepper
8 ounces (226g) mushrooms - chopped
Streaky bacon (4 rashers) – cu into small strips
Mince (good quality) 1.5 lbs (680 g)
Tin chopped tomatoes
2 Tomatoes - sliced
2 Bay leaves
2 tea-spoons of tomato puree
Cup of stock
Little celery
Pinch of basil
Pinch of oregano
Glass of red wine
White sauce
12 ounces (340g) of cheese
Knob of flora
Pint of milk
1 heaped tablespoon of flour
Method
Cover the bottom of a pan with oil and warm.
Add chopped onions and turn with a wooden spoon until cooked.
Add pepper to taste.
Add mushrooms and fry until cooked.
Add bacon and fry until crisp.
Fry the mince until brown.
Add the remaining ingredients and cook (simmering) for 20 minutes).
Prepare the white sauce at this stage.
Put a layer of lasagne into a dish, then a layer of the mince and top with white sauce.
Continue layering in this way.
Finally, top with grated cheese and cook in an oven at 220 degrees for 30 minutes.
