A tip from Raymond Blanc's Kitchen Secrets

Picked up this tip new to me but I bet some of you do it this way. When rolling out pastry instead of throwing flour everywhere roll out the pastry between two sheets of cling film, much easier to handle and far less messy. When you then put the pastry onto the top of a pie just peel off the cling film from one side of the pastry and keep the other in place to make the manoeuvring of the pastry into position much easier.
