Suffering falls...

Of late I seem to be suffering falls,the latest was last Saturday afternoon...on my way to the Theatre....I was making my way through Town,when one minute I was walking,then the next minute I was full flat out on the pavement,felt such a fool,quickly got up and made my way tentatively to meet a friend.

This is not the first time this has happened I fell in the sitting room,before that outside as I did on Saturday last on walking the dog.....I do have meniere's but not aware of feeling dizzy during these falls,so my question is it me or advancing age,or am I just a clumsy owd beggar....I would appreciate any replies,and no I hadn't on all these occasions been on the grape.

I have 'phoned our Council this morning to report a possible pavement issue,but not taking it any further,oh and yes my little knees are a lovely navy colour

Have you been checked over Jann just lately for the Meniers?
If not get an appointment made to get a thorough going over including your ears.

Can you hear OK or do you need hearing aids?
I suggest you get your ears looked at and see your doctor about medication for the Meniers if you are not taking any already. Even if you are it still wont hurt to get checked over.

I have been taking medication re the meniere's for years now,I am still seeing a specialist at the ENT clinic on a regular basis,and I don't wear hearing aids as there is no hearing in the left ear to aid!!!so I doubt the falls are due to the disease,it may have been my shoes..I was wearing a fancy shoe with a kitten heel,I may have caught it in the paver involved,as for the other times I just don't know.....I am due to see my doctor for the annual M.o.t so I reckon I should mention the problem.

Yes you must mention it Jann. These things come on out of the blue.
I know with what has happened to me since Easter Monday of last year.

This last time when I went into a blackout I was in the consultants waiting room at Glenfields hospital waiting to see him. I was talking to a lady at the side of me who had been in the army during WW2 and in the middle of a very interesting conversation with NO warning I just flaked out and came to in a hospital bed and that's where they kept me for the next week.

Make sure you mention your falls.
