Another blackout.

I had another one early Saturday morning and hubby had to call on the medics to bring me round. I must have been out for at least 40 minutes because from what I can make out the medics had put the oxygen mask on me.
Its very frightening for my hubby.
The docs have put me on an Epilepsy tablet but I am still waiting for the MRI scan.

I am sorry to read that Maisie, I thought you were doing far better after your last stint in hospital. I wish they'd hurry up with the MRI scan, its weeks now. Here in France you'd have had one the same day. I can understand hubby being very disturbed by it all, anyone would be. Wishing you well my friend. :grouphug:

Many thanks Corrie.
I just hope they can get it sorted out for me.
They may have to adjust the medication. :dunno:

Yes, I believe epilepsy medication is a case of trial and error till they get the balance right for the seizures. I wish you well Maisie, soon they'll be on top of things, I'm sure.

Sorry to hear this, Maisie - must be quite alarming for you both.
Have you had a date for the MRI yet?

Thanks everyone. I thought I had better say something about it just in case I go missing any time because I usually finish up in hospital.

I go to see the consultant on the 10th of May but it doesn't say on the letter that I will be getting an MRI test. Mind you we have the paper that the medic left behind so that might hurry things along a bit. The paramedic did ask me if I would prefer to go to the hospital but I refused and said I would be better at home. Perhaps I did wrong, I dont know but we will have to wait and see.
Its quite frightening for hubby because this is the fourth time its happened in bed while I have been asleep. It certainly sounds like Epilepsy to me and I will be glad when the get the medication dosage right as Corrie pointed out.
Its getting now that I have a case already packed if I am rushed into hospital.
