Cough cough cough :(:(

Postby Jann » Mon Mar 21, 2011 1:09 pm

An appeal ......does anyone have a remedy they can pass on for a persistent cough please......I have tried all sorts of potions, the doc gave me nowt only an inhaler which is turn is not working....I am pretty desperate,so if anyone can help me I would be eternally grateful.
I did have an ecg and chest x/ray last week but don't get the results for a couple of week.

The remedies that I have tried are .....

Pulmo Bailly
Covonia
Venos
Honey and lemon....

I also have the same problem Jann, tried all on your list apart from Pulmo B.

When you find the right one, please let me know, or we could cough in unison and start a new singing trend

Bliddy Hell. How about steaming over a bowl with Friar's Balsam, or have you tried that?

You sound just like me Jann, I have had it months now. The back of my throat seems to be blocked up and affects my breathing too, the cough is horrible and helps you produce more Phl.....m, its a vicious circle. Antibiotics did'nt touch it, I've been sucking Victory V's and Strepsils.

The nasal spray which was prescribed is BECLOMETASONE which you can buy from the chemist, might be worth a try,I have just started the treatment so I can't comment yet...

I had no alternative yesterday but to see my doctor who was very sympathetic and prescribed a linctus called Pholcodine, had a much better night,so it's just a matter of waiting for the results of the tests I had done
