Pneumonia jab

Postby Jann » Tue Nov 13, 2012 5:16 pm

Yesterday my husband was advised by the chest specialist to ask to have another pneumonia jab as it is way past 10 years since he had a previous one....I decided I too would ask for one and we have been advised to attend our GP next week.

My question is has anyone on here had the said jab ?? if so any info would be welcome, thank you in advance !! :grouphug:

My diabetic OH was given one last year alongside his flu vaccination - no ill effects at all. Presumably, the immunity lasts more than a year as he wasn't offered one this autumn.

I had and injection six years ago, at that time I was told it would last me for my lifetime.
