Pwnny I'm going to ask my doctor about "Exforge" at my next appointment.

Haven't googled it lately but it did look promising.

Be interested to hear what your doctor has to say VM. I am a bit afraid of trying new things, last time my doctor changed a tablet It knocked me right out so she immediately put a stop on records. Must try to remember what it was called. When I showed her how swollen my ankles were she took me off one other tablet, keep wondering if I should stop taking one of these things. Do hope Gina is keeping well, I expect she is looking forward to your holiday. Went into google but not very well explained so will have to await further details from your doc.cheers Penny.

Thanks Penny. Gina had her monthly top up of blood cells on Thursday. She now has the treatment at Kelling Hospital which is half the distance to travel. Kelling Hospital really is a splendid and picturesque facility. Every thing should have really kicked in time for our holiday.

Pleased all is going well for Gina. I too know Kelling, last uncle died there, he was a master at Greshams for many years. Thought I saw signs as we passed this time saying 'Save our Hospital'. Hope that is not the one that was talked about in reducing the number of small hospitals. I thought that one was delightful. cheers Penny.

Penny Rampril is the one that was causing me problems, think I mentioned it earlier up the thread when I was also ill with the Virus. Since being taken off Rampril my throat, cough, nasal passages etc; have improved and infact I am feeling much better. I now take my old prescription of low dose Beta-blocker and Cardioplen.

Thanks Dita, I have cut out the Bendroflumethiazide yesterday and today, will give it a few more days, if the trouble persists will ask the doc if I can drop the Rampril.
Such a problem, would like to cut out the tablets altogether. Hope you are feeling much better, if you are still low, do take the tonic Metatone, it really works wonders. Very nice to take too, like a sweet syrup. I have mentioned this to many people and all have given it the thumbs-up. Available from Boots. cheers Penny.

Thanks Penny, am on Sanatogen Vital50+ they seem to be working and I feel much better now. That Rampril I feel will be the problem. He put me on it because they though a calcium based along with an ace inhibiter was better than beta-blockers, they were trying to get GP's to change, anyway I am back on the beta-blocker instead of Rampril but still take Cardioplen (calcium channel'd)
