Tennis Elbow

Postby Rowan » Mon Oct 30, 2006 10:28 am

After suffering for about 3 weeks, I went to the doctor's and got a cortisone injection today - not the first I've had but the first in my LEFT arm. I remember about 4 hours after the injection the pain got worse so am not looking forward to the next few hours! I don't even play tennis!!

I do worry about steroids though, especially since I have to take steroids periodically because of my chest complaint. I believe it thins the skin and bone.

Oh Rowan, I've been there, last year, but I must be one of your 'odd' folk, I would never have a Steroid injection, I am that 'odd' i won't have a flu jab, no it's not the injection, it is what is going inside you, fortunately I have no problems, so do not need a flu jab, will carry on taking extra Vit C and Zinc,
well back to your elbow, when I had mine the Doc said it was my roller ball mouse, but he gave me some anti-inflammatories, took them for a while, found loads of excesses on the web and did them, and after about 3 weeks it was OK,
I know every one is not the same, that is just my opinion.

Good Luck

Just to try to cheer you up Rowan

A GOLFER whose car broke down flagged down a passing bus and got aboard.
He sat down on the bus with his pockets bulging with golf balls next to a little old lady. The little old lady kept looking quizzically at him and his bulging pockets.
Finally, after many such glances from her, he said: "It's golf balls."
She quickly replied: "Does it hurt as bad as tennis elbow...?"

Seriously though :rolleye11: They say 'If the elbow hurts at the front, it is tennis elbow, and if it hurts at the back, it is golf elbow.'
