Just catching up. Sorry to hear about your predicament Mazzy, but I'm pleased that the outcome with Laser work can quickly be rectified,
Vince.

Woss going on???? Have an appointment through for Jan 21st. That's fine.
Had to go back to the optician today as I felt as though I had a spider walking across my eye.....the other eye!!! Also a few flashes - not like the migraine ones.
Anyway I spent nearly 2 hours there and have to go to the hospital tomorrow.
He doesn't think it is a retinal tear, but needs to be very cautious.
So, I worked my butt off for years and very rarely took a sickie and now I'm retired it's all happening...and to make matters worse tomorrow is my day at the hospice, so I have to miss that!!
Not a happy bunny!!

Mazzy, the hospice will still be there when you've got your eye problem sorted.

Good luck at the hospital tomorrow

Just think about yourself for once Mazzy - and good luck tomorrow. :grouphug:

If it is something serious and cannot be fixed then you may not be able to go to the Hospice at all, Mazzy. First things first, make sure your eyes are OK and then think about the Hospice. :grouphug:

I must admit, it would frustrate me to miss a special day like that. BUT....

..., you need a functioning set of peepers to be able to bring some happiness at the hospice.

The priority has to be getting your eyes in the best working order you can get them!

First things have to be first Mazzy. :now: !!

Hey LLL you've got a big compassionate heart but this time you must put yourself first.
And I hope and pray that things go well for you.

Thanks everyone - I will let you know how I get on.
The optician made the appointment for me, and I asked him if he thought I could change it to later in the day. He gave me the number to see if I could. Anyway, I decided that it would be best to get there asap. It's just gone 9.00 am and he has phoned me, as he wanted to check that I would be going today. He was quite pleased when I said I hadn't changed it - but I was so impressed with him phoning.

Ok - panic over - it's just another of those things that happen to old people - well I am nearly 62!!!!!
Posterior Vitreous Detachment
The chap at the hospital said that the optician was right to be concerned, especially as I have a problem with one eye already, but there was very little chance of any retinal damage, and that it was just something that happens. Phew!!!!
