This is Raphael's Park at Romford on a fairly grey Boxing day:
Last Sunday was beautifully sunny and, as promised, here are some pictures taken during our trip on the Emirates Airline cable-car, starting with the Royal Victoria dock looking bluer than I've ever seen it!
The O2 Arena (Millenium Dome) and the Isle of Dogs from the air:
Looking north from inside the cable-car:
The Thames flood barrier and Woolwich:
Looking northward towards Stratford. The Olympic stadium and that weird Anish Kapoor sculpture can just be seen, almost on the horizon, a little to the right of centre.
(I attempted a zoomed-in pic of that sculpture but it came out very badly so I have a reason to repeat the trip and try again!
