Kuriwhakapapa Park

A lovely natural park with real 'bush' (which in NZ terminology means rough natural vegetation). Only birds singing and streams gurgling. Old trees and ferns.

Ancient trees , some still standing

Pristine streams

Sometimes a grand daugter Lily in the streams :-)

And a tired Nana Jill after 2km

Beautiful photos, CD. They remind me of many areas here in Australia which isn’t really surprising since we are so close to NZ. :sunglasses:

There are a lot of places in Australia that I remember with great nostalgia, particularly up in Queensland. It seems so long ago (1961) although we did visit Sydney in 2007 and enjoyed it.

Those pics are beautiful , and very much like some places in western Australia where I have been, but sadly not NZ. Yet. xx

Looks like a lovely place, even if I for one will never get my tongue around its name!
