A mystery no more

Postby DaisyB » Wed Sep 22, 2010 10:52 am

Back in the spring, I bought a plant to climb an obelisk along with a Black Eyed Susan. Well it grew vigorously. as did Susan, but while Susan flowered copiously, this plant didn't. I just had these strange shaped 'pods' all over it. At last it's flowered, the 'pods' are the flower buds, the flowers emerge as a cream colour and the flowers open as a lovely purple bloom. The name? Cobaea Scandens, and I shall be growing more next year.
