Gawd I feel old.!!!!!!!!!!

This is a photo of my son who has his 60th birthday on Sunday.
I knitted the cardigan that he is wearing that was made out of a mans pullover that I had unwound because wool was still on coupons then.
We had to unravel old cardigans and pullovers to re-use the wool.
I cant see them wanting to do that today but it was 'needs must' then.

Lovely photo Frolique! It looks like one of those high wheeled baby buggies that I used reach out of and pinch stuff from. I used to bite bits out of bread I'm told. Rationing too!

Looks like a Silver Cross pram to me?

No it was a Swallow pram Corrie which at that time was on the same par as a Silver Cross.
High up, coach built with big wheels and a brake.
If I remember rightly it cost £28 at that time from Curry's because they used to deal in prams then.

If you look closely at the hood of the pram you can see where my son was trying his teeth out on it on both sides.

I remember those prams well Maisie. Pride and joy of every parent or person pushing them.

They used to last forever too - my mum had a Silver Cross for me - did my two sisters too and then passed on to an auntie!
