A salutory lesson ?
Posted: Sat Apr 21, 2012 5:57 pm........ or not, as the case may be. I came across this today, and as this is how I met Mr. e it struck a particular chord 
I turn on my computer each morning
Usually just as the day is dawning
You see, there is this guy I've met
Right here, on the internet.
With words of love and poetry
He's skilfully courted me
In a cyber world fashion
Filled my heart, aroused my passion.
Message box empty? Oh love of mine
Why is that, I know you're on-line
I've sent you a message, no reply
Although more than an hour's gone by
I've check "who's on line” again
There's your face, causing me pain
I guess to another, fine words you're sending
Cos in this world, the rules are for bending
I've had my uses, so now cast adrift
As to another, your attention you shift
There's no shortage of material for your game
You'll feel no regret, feel no shame
So, now I'm taking a reality check
And thinking to myself, "what the heck”.
Out of the corner of my eye, I see it flashing
"1 message”; already my resolve is crashing.
