I have never written a poem before

Maywalk wrote:It was GREAT June. I REALlY liked that.

It just shows you what you can do when you put your mind to it. :D

Did you enjoy doing it?

What if I asked you to write one about night fall.
Do you think you could write a few lines around that.?

I didn't have to put my mind to it at first Maisie, it just 'came' to me during a period of boredom at work. (I was waiting for job cards to come up from the workshop for me to process). I started doodling, then I imagined two old ladies chatting at a garden gate and eureka I started a poem.
It got more difficult when I decided to make it a story. The limerick format is not easy when you have to find three words to rhyme and make sense.
Dave is quite proud of me, bless him.

You still had to put your mind to it June to get it into a story.

I can see that now you have started there will be others to follow. :D

That's lovely Daisy! It's about no earth shattering event, no violence and no sex, but you read to the end, and by the end you are beginning to know the women involved.
