Sophie

I go to bed and try to sleep
But you always come to mind
I miss you much within my heart
For you left me far behind
Have tried to fill the hours alone
Without you close nearby
But find it hard without you
Just need to sit and cry
Had to thrust you to another
For them to ease your pain
Even though it meant that I
Would never see you again.

And I loved you so much.

That was lovely Dita, just how it feels.

Thanks Rowan & Maisie.
I wrote it in the middle of the night, one of those nights when sleep just will not come and you wander downstairs. In the past she has been there on those nights and I find it a very lonely time even after 7months have gone by. :grouphug:

Well I know I've now got Brogan and he is a funny and affectionate little dog but he just isn't Max and I miss him so much, so it describes how I feel too.
Avoid the evil, and it will avoid thee.

You know it is funny but since she went I have had 4 very close friends die, one being daughter, and her mother 6weeks later. But Sophie is the one I still cry for.
Strange is'nt it.

Possibly because you could tell Sophie things that you could not voice to humans Dita as much as they are family or good friends.

I used to talk to Gigi and she seemed to understand how sad I felt at times by just licking my hand and gazing at me with her big eyes.
Heres a hug to help you through. We could all do with one of these now and again.

I too have been there dita,so I so understand what you're going through...my website has more such as it is.....

If they let me through the pearly gates, and I admit there is some doubt.
I hope my friend is waiting, 'cos I'll surely give a shout.
She left me one short day ago, a problem with her health.
Now all I have are memories of which she left a wealth.

I'm not sure if it's normal - but it surely is for me.
That every time I think of herI have trouble trying to see.
I know she didn't suffer, and I passed the hardest test.
One simple, quick injection, then she was at rest.

I think about the long long years, of happiness and bliss.
At no time in our relationship did I ever think of this.
The sorrow of the parting, my vision thick like fog.
It ended so abruptly, God how I miss that dog.
