Emm, did you put the leaves directly onto the glass or did you protect the glass with something first? I was just thinking that if there was any grit of any kind on the leaves it could scratch the glass.

I was told it was OK to put them straight on the glass - I had thought the same as you.
The woman who told me about doing it, is a computer card making tutor. She uses branches off shrubs, too.
I wasn't going to chance my luck with anything like that.
