Hi Penny and all, Sun and showers here, quick walkies for doggie with big hugs waiting for you Penny. Been to Sainsburys for some bits and pieces, quite a few folk around today, had to wait in a line to be served at the cig counter for OH's bacca and the guy in front had won £490 pound on the pick & mix Lottery ticket, his wife stood at the side of him beaming as the girl counted the money out. It just shows money can be won on those things. Hope you ok Penny and still smiling :) take care all.

Hi Dita and all, sorry to be late, worst day I have had for years. Big hugs before they get lost and big kisses for pussies. Decided to go to Cosco for bird seed and on the way call at Farm Foods. So busy could not believe it it, anyway, as OH was with me bought lots more than required so had to drop the home for the freezer before Cosco. Very windy and we dashed home, dropped off the frozen stuff and scrambled back into the car, unfortunately the wind caught me and my leg caught the pointed bit of the car door, huge gash. Blood running down my leg and trousers covered., Did not mention to hubby and pushed in paper hankies to stop flow. Off to Cosco, quite a few miles, only to arrive finding we could not even get in the car park. So, came home dashed into my bathroom only to find or not find any sticky plasters. At the minute am stuck up with sticky tape and toilet paper. You can imagine, I am not that happy at the moment. Just had a Scype message from son, any plasters in van. Forgot about that so will pop into the van and check after this. Take care and enjoy the day. No chance of me winning anything Dita, never been lucky. Today proves it. cheers Penny :huffin:

Oh! Penny I'm so sorry, hope the gash not too bad and you get it covered with proper plaster quickly, you are a bit like me, I would not have told hubby what I had done, funny really how we are us women. We called for birdseed too at our local petshop, also buy treats for the spoilt doggie. Think you deserve extra special hugs for all you've suffered in one way and another today :bighugs: :bighugs:

Morning Dita and all, just a quickie to make sure hugs arrive in time for walkies, should be fine today. Kisses for pussies who may venture out today. Off to Cosco again. Rang them this morning and they have seed in stock so I won't get a ticking off today, fingers crossed. OH playing with his laptop. Calling into Boots first for plasters. Take care. cheers [Penny

Hi Penny and all, Hope you dont forget your plasters, what a day you had yesterday. Doggie walk ok today but she needs hugs because they are putting that scaffolding up at the back and we cannot get out the back door, this causing a bit of excitement because her routine is being disrupted. It is all getting a bit hectic in the village and we are all looking forward to peace again. Hope you have some good bargains to cheer you Penny :) and take care all.

Goodness! What a long-suffering pair you are! I'd have made sure my OH knew all about it and would have expected much fuss and sympathy, too. Probably, I'd also have blamed his beastly car for hurting me, too! (It's always his car when I get damaged or it needs money to be spent on it  ) Seriously, Penny, I hope the gash isn't too painful now and will heal quickly. I've had the same injury in the past for the same reason so I know how much it perishing well hurts. Hugs to you. :bighugs: and purrs from Lucy K.

It's foul here this morning - cold, breezy and with frequent heavy showers. The window cleaner just came in a brief gap between showers but he might as well not have bothered :dunno: Not a good day for dog walks, anyway.

OH has just gone out to buy milk and oranges; I ain't going anywhere until things improve. Oh, good news: our sour milk/sicky smell has just about gone now!!!

Hi all, back from Cosco. Goodness me it was busy again. I understand why the little shops are vanishing. Good furniture and outside stuff today. Anyway, got the bird seed. Be interesting to see what birth sign your OH is Andere. Dita and I both have a Gemini, well known for thinking of no.1 first and second. Never occurs to them that it is selfish. Weather was cold and raining when we got there but now bright and sunny. Have a good day all and take care. Are you having pancakes tomorrow. cheers Penny

OH now thinks I'm going bonkers because I had to ask him what his birth sign is. I know when his birthday is but star signs and stuff have kind of passed me by. He says it's Airies; it's 14 April, anyway. (The same day as our daughter as it happens - wasn't that an original pressy for him?). In fairness to him, he does think about me sometimes ... just a little bit.

No pancakes - can't remember when I last made any. It always seems such a faff, somehow, and unless you eat them straight from the pan, they're always disappointing. The rain has now stopped but it's turned perishing cold. Lucy K is going loopy. I think she's feeling stir-crazy after being in most of the day and she's rushing about all over the house, up and down the stairs, streaking along like an express train and turning somersaults in doorways to go back to where she came from. Krazy Katt!

Morning Dita and all, lovely and sunny here today. Big hugs on the way for walkies today and kisses for pussies, I am sure they will be out and about today.
Aries not a bad sign at all Andere. Is he a little impatient and not very tidy. Will do almost anything for his family and is happy to do so providing it leaves him time to do his own thing. A bit of fun of course Don't take me seriously.
Been dressing my wound today, looks a right mess. Very sore too. Hope all are well and enjoying today. Take care. cheers Penny. :grouphug:

Good morning Penny, Andere and all, Aries eh! I made a massive mistake my ex husband was Gemini too, what a glutton for punishment. Think this is one of those days got all sorts going the Gas board is diving back and forth, up and down stairs, dog barking, OH getting stressed, its all hell let loose, all to do with extending pipe from boiler to outside so they can insulate the outside walls, the whole house is now enclosed in scaffolding and I am claustophobic. Doubt if I will be making pancakes today. Doggie walkies not happened yet, think both of us are desperate for hugs, also from Krazy Katt please. Hope your leg gash improves very quick Penny, keep smiling :) :( if you can and take care all.

Hugs coming your way, Dita, from me and That Katt - it all sounds like a nightmare, can understand why you're feeling claustrophobic; I'd hate to be surrounded by scaffolding. Hope your OH calms down - barking dog won't be helping to de-stress anyone, I shouldn't think. :grouphug:

Are you putting Hypercal cream on your injury, Penny? It's really worth doing, I reckon far more effective than Savlon and the like. The hypericum (St John's Wort) acts as an antiseptic to help fight infection and the calendula (marigold) promotes rapid healing. You can buy it in little tubes in Holland & Barrett, Superdrug, Boots and many more places as well as in specialist herbal/homœopathic pharmacies.

As for OH - he's the messiest, untidiest person I've ever known!!!! Even worse than me! Can be impatient if he thinks people are being stupid or wilfully difficult and yes, he's usually happy to do things for people if it doesn't interfere with his own plans too much - like eating into planned pub-time for example! It's still cold here but very bright and sunny which is great .....

Wow, Dita I am sorry, not your day obviously. Fingers crossed all will turn out O.K. soon. Poor doggie must be going frantic. Had club lunch, good food but the place was packed. Sounds as tho' your OH is a definite Aries then Andere, at least you know what to expect. Take care all, cheers Penny.

I keep popping in here because it takes mind off whats going on, they are now having to change our outside tap and pipe whch comes from inside, also they have taken off the sky dish and attached it to the scaffold in preparation for the thick insulation, we have quite a big porch in the front, plants and shelves have had to be removed so they can cover the wall in there. Wish I could have joined you for lunch Penny, may have calmed doggie too cos of treats arriving in her direction.:)
