Hi Penny and all, sorry your shoulder still causing problems, there is nothing worse than nights you have difficult sleeping because of the pain, big hugs from doggie and me Penny. Only short walkies today shame really because weather bright and cheerful. I am very late because had to go and buy a new mobile, been having problems with the phone for a couple of weeks, despite it been sitting there not been used it ate up £28 seems it had been connected to the internet??? strange because I've never used the net. Anyway after a few rows with orange have been credited with £15, some fault somewhere??? long story and it hard to understand the indian accents as we all know. Keep chin up Penny :) and take care all.

Dita, nothing worse than trying to achieve anything with the so-called Customer Services across the world. I am with Talktalk and dread any kind of problem that means I have to 'talktalk' to them in either India or The Philippines. It is especially hard when something obscurely techie is wrong, how to describe it? when they don't understand me and I don't understand them (OR the problem). Your phone problem is like nothing I've ever heard of!

I hear a few companies are to bring back these depts. to England and am unsure whether Orange or Talktalk are among them.

When my phone connection into the house was struck by lightning a few years ago, after some faffing on the mobile, the Manila people sent 'the work ticket' back to UK for BT Outreach to come round. The damage was IN the porch beside the front door and was fixed. I was assured there would not be the £129 fee, because it was outside, then I was billed which started my dispute, as they said it was inside. In extreme frustration, I was aware of having read in Money Mail that the CEO, Dido Harding, if contacted directly, would give personal help. A member of another forum gave me her email address, which, as soon as I made contact, got an immediate personal reply, and she immediately intervened to have the bill cancelled!!!! Hope she is still in office.

Hi Penny and Vannin, Its a nightmare understanding these Customer services, the sooner they at least get people who have a good understanding of English the better. Funny thing was, a girl who we first spoke to in the Orange shop said they had heard a few who had got the same problem as me of late which I thought a bit odd. We missed them hugs from you today Penny while on doggie walkies, hope your shoulder not any worse darlin. I have not heard of Dido Harding but thank goodness you got her e/mail addy, saved you much money. Oh is watching the Rugby bless his little cotton socks, keeps him quiet. Hope your chin is up Penny :) and take care Vannin and allxx.

Hi all. Lovely day today and I've been doing the ironing with the windows open listening to all the lovely spring sounds - jangling ice cream vans, screeching children, folk shouting into mobile phones, someone using an angle grinder.... Lucy Katt has spent the afternoon sleeping in the sun, she looks so sweet and peaceful :)
OH has gone to the electrical spares place to see if he can get a replacement blade for my kitchen slicer and I'm waiting in for my Ocado delivery. The slicer blade broke a couple of days ago and OH seems suspiciously keen to replace it NOW although I told him it wasn't urgent. I keep wondering if he's thought of some new, Machiavellian use for it???
I didn't realise Orange had shipped their customer services overseas. My first mobile was from Orange and every time I called them, I got to talk to someone with a lovely Tyneside accent and they were generally very helpful. I switched to Lyca Mobile because I was making a lot of overseas calls and they were cheaper but, Brother, they are a pain in the ****!! You can't get anything out of their customer services if it isn't in a script. Twenty minutes on the phone to them and you feel as if you've aged twenty years. :tantrum2: I once asked one of their operators where in the world they are and she didn't understand the question - or so she said in broken English. I've heard of that business of phones apparently connecting themselves to the internet before - a news report I read somewhere but I can't remember now what the cause was, some technical glitch anyway.
Hope the shoulder's improving, Penny and LK sends greetings to waggy-tailed doggies. Enjoy the sunshine everyone.

Evening all, sorry to be late. Something been wrong with this computer all day, just come on now. OH said it had a notice, something to do with /// Some technical name. Wretched nuisance, had me worried as it was getting hot and making a funny noise. I pulled all the wires out and still it grumbled. Anyway, here I am, a fed up lady. Sorry to be late with hugs and kisses but I did waft them in the wind. Shoulder was feeling a lot better and then I thought I would use Hudle??. Started the aching all over again so gave up. Not been my day at all, OH wanted to go out for lunch today so we got ready, all tarted up, rang the venue only to find they were fully booked. I gave up then. Hope everyone is keeping well and enjoying the lovely sunshine. Take care and hopefully will be about again tomorrow. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all, enjoyed a sunny doggie walkies this morning and your welcome hugs Penny. Hi L Katt lots of Purrs to you. Have not got OH very enthusiastic about piccy taking despite the link you sent, he would rather sit on his a..... watching rubbish. We do not watch F1 much now it gets too boring. Just been to Sainsburys for a wander round, did'nt find anything to tempt the taste buds so bought very little. Having no rain the past few days has helped dry the outside walls, hope they start the pebble dashing then we can have a big clean up, it does look pretty grim. Keep that pecker up :) Penny and take care all.

Good morning, everyone. It's been grey and dreary here until about 5 minutes ago when the sun suddenly emerged. It's not very warm, either. I hung out a load of laundry but not sure if it will actually dry or not ... such a change from yesterday which was superb. OH got all itchy-footed and insisted we had to go somewhere and not just stay home so we went to Frinton-on-Sea and had a walk on the greensward and sat in the sunshine for ages. Honestly, other places have a village green or a town common; Frinton is so 'refained' that it has a 'greensward'!! It was very peaceful and, because it's not the sort of place that's full of ice-cream kiosks and burger vans and candy-floss and funfairs, it's generally pretty quiet so I like it. Wouldn't want to live there, mind - you have to go absolutely miles to find anything much - supermarkets, hospitals, theatre, cinema - but it's nice to visit. We stayed until the sun went down then stopped for a pub meal on the way home so we didn't have to cook when we got in.

I've done something horrible to my left knee because OH dropped his mobile phone between the car seat and the transmission tunnel then couldn't kneel down to grope about under the seat and find it, so I ended up kneeling on the road and raking about under the seat track to find it and now I can't bend it without pain. :tantrum2: :tantrum2: The worst pain is when I try to get off the loo so I hope it goes away soon! How's the shoulder, Penny?

Lucy K is having a busy day, been out and about keeping her patch in order. I just saw her having a good snoop around a neighbour's recycling bin before pacing off down the street on whatever Important Business was occupying her.
