Hi Penny and Andere, it is fresher here too thankgoodness, sure I spied L Katt on our walk today she was chatting up a big british blue, he went away rather disappointed.:) anyway, thanks for hugs Dolly dot just ignored them, not the hugs, the cats :roflmao: Husbands are a pain are they not? :cheeky4: they have a life of riley 'who is riley?'. Mine is on computer sorting this that and the other out, hope yours does not over indulge tomorrow being as its his birthday Andere. I am making a tomato cheese and bacon pasta bake, shall put sausage in it too for tea, we do not always have a heavy lunch but prefer a meal around 4/5pm, wish I'd done a mince now instead Penny it sounds more yummy. The damn scaffolding still here :tantrum2: Keep smiling :) Penny, and take care Andere and all. :grouphug:

Well, now I have the small person staying with me for a few days, we have had a lovely day one, and arrived home at 2.30.

He is so totally engrossed in his Lego, and surrounded by many sets of it, I am constantly bothered he might get many tiny bits mixed up into different boxes. But he assures me that can't happen! There are the Star Wars Lego and Ninja Turtles Lego, I just bought him yet another set, and watch his little fingers instantly put them together with hardly a glance at the instructions!!

Isn't it interesting, how some of the same things our children played with, are being played with by our grandchildren with businesses booming. Both Lego and Star Wars are surviving the generations beautifully.

Hoping he will read to me soon because that same wonderment of first discovering 'we can read by ourselves' is still a wonder to me too!

Hi Penny, Viv and all, great for you to have after all young Charlie there to keep you busy Viv, my Grandaughter loves her Lego too it can even get oldies like me engrossed when given the chance. Not a very nice doggie walking day here Penny, she would rather send you hugs than dodging the showers, was hoping for the sunshine to cheer us but alas it deserted us. Just got my Chicken roasting it smells good enough to eat, and this we will be doing later on, I wonder what you are eating today ? A very quiet day apart from the folk nearby, it is Andys 50th, he plays bass guitar along with his son inlaw also a musician so they are having a musical birthday bash we did have invite but giving it a miss I think. Lots of purrs to the pussies. keep your chin up Penny :) and take care all.

Hi Dita, and all. sorry to send hugs on such an awful day but hopefully they will help. So cold, dark and wet. What happened to the hot period we were going to get. I will shoot the weatherman. Hope OH got through his dental appointment O.K. and no breathing problems. At least the air should clear now. OH back in his usual. Wish I could win a fortune. I can't see pussies out today, such a pity, kisses perhaps will take away some of the boredom. Hope all have a good day in spite of weather, bet your place is looking great Dita. Well deserved. Take care all and fingers crossed for better weather on the way. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all. Yippee! they are at the moment removing the scaffolding, such a relief we can then get to work putting things to right and clear up the mess in both the back and front, it has been so dismal and dark. Thanks for those hugs it was a very quick walkies because the weather is not up to much, not alot of rain but very murky, bet pussies are cuddled up in a warm place today. OH had no problem at dentist and breathing much easier now the air is better. If I win a fortune Penny I will share with you, however that is unlikely because I dont do the lottery any more, we will have to look for a couple of sugar daddies:) Keep smiling though Penny :) and take care all.

Hi Penny and all, a bright and breezy day hugs welcome as it was a chilly walkies, we must have had quite alot of rain overnight it was rather muddy along the path where we walk. Yippee we can see out of the window and there is light coming in, amazing how much light is blocked by scaffolding, they have been and cleared some rubbish away also cleaned mess off the windows which they made during the whole process. The house looks like new now considering how old it is. I guess you are at the moment having fun and games with your Grandchildren maybe hubby joining in too, should be giving him a bit of exercise and keeping him off his computer :) We have got lots of work outside to do now, next doors cats are going to miss all the climbing frames which have been giving them so much pleasure during the last weeks, L Katt would have enjoyed that. Keep smiling Penny :) and take care all.

Just been sitting in the sunshine on the harbour top. Much amusement was generated when we spied a wee boat called "The Bearded Clam"

:roflmao: @ Monsy!

Oh dear, this house feels empty. His Daddy came to take him home, to the flat they have just moved into. The four days were magical, though Trixie has had enough. The limit came this morning when Charlie was occupying my lap for a read and a cuddle. Trixie planted herself at my feet showing the 'my lap-time' expression. When no vacancy arose on the lap, she sorrowfully went away. I am hoping to repair this cruelty of mine, any time now.

Morning Dita and all, lovely and sunny, should be a good walkies today with hugs to help along. Kisses for pussies who I think should be able to play in the grass today. OH in his usual. Nothing planned today decided to do Chicken Kiev with a nice cheese sauce today. Sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. I expect by now you will have made up all the cuddles for Trixie. Would dearly love a cat to cuddle. This machine takes along time to work in the morning, does anyone else have this problem. Take care all and have a lovely day. Enjoy the clean up now Dita, well worth the trouble I am sure. cheers Penny

Hi, all - been busy with other things the last few days and not sitting at the PC much but I'm here today. After a freeeeeeezing cold start, the sun has come out and it's rather lovely. I hung some towels out to dry on the whirly clothesline and Lucy K was last seen hunkered beneath, enjoying the dappled shadow effect. Aaah. If N Lincs is anything like this, it should be good walkies weather - and tidying-up-the-mess from-the-garden weather, too. I'm glad your scaffolding is down at last, in time for the sunshine to show through the windows.

I thoroughly enjoyed my Sunday without OH, just pottering about and getting on with this and that and he came home happy that they'd got lots of work done at the museum so a good day all round. Monday, I went to Richmond to visit a friend who I hadn't seen for ages. She's been having a rough time lately following the death of her husband last autumn because she's never had to deal with paperwork and bureaucracy before and all the things you have to do, changing the name on the gas bill, sorting out the council tax and so on is driving her bonkers - not helped by crass ineptitude and lack of compassion in the local council offices. It's worrying, seeing someone who's always seemed so very forthright and capable reduced to a nervous wreck by bureaucracy. Friends are helping where they can, naturally but it is a crying shame that, at a time when people need a little support and compassion, they're so often met with a stony wall of official processes and indifference. ...Sorry, don't mean to rant - I didn't realise how strongly I was feeling until I'd written that down.

OH is still thinking about his birthday celebrations for next week - I suspect we'll end up in the pub followed by a curry with one or two of his friends. And why not. I've got him a new MP3 player because he's worn out the old one! He knows he's getting it because I had to find out which ones he liked and didn't like before I started shopping.

Have a good day, all and I do hope Trixie forgives you soon, Viv!
