Hi Penny and all. Hope you enjoying your shop and meet up with son. Quite pleasant doggie walkies along with your hugs Penny. We are off for a browse in Sainsburys very shortly clouds forming as I write, not that it will bother us very much.
Just hoping Monsy has managed to sort out your Hudle, I just use my laptop and I'm useless anyway at techo stuff.
Anyway you keep smiling Penny :) and take care all.

Sticky toffee pudding with cream. Hope all your work is finished now Dita, time to sit back and enjoy. Take care all and have a good weekend. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all, managed a quick doggie walkies before the rain started, thanks for hugs :) discovered a bit of a hiccup when it rains over the back door and kitchen window there is a little gulley which is allowing flow of water onto the window and bounce off the sill, all outside and its too hard to explain but needs sorting. Double dutch to me reading what I've written. Anyway keep smiling Penny :) like me and take care all. ps Think I'll eat at your place today.

Oooh, I fancy that sticky toffee pud! We've just had liver and onions, too. I don't usually do main meals at lunchtime but we're going to a Friends of the Earth thing this evening which would mean eating an evening meal really early or really late. They usually lay on cold snacks at these things anyway, so we won't starve tonight! It's grey and miserable here and not very warm; woke to quite heavy rain this morning and it's threatening to come back - I think all the dog-walkers here got their missions accomplished already, before it starts again. Lucy K doesn't care, she's snoring on my bed at present. For a little cat, she makes a startling amount of noise!
We had a good day out yesterday; went to the London Transport Museum Reserve collection at Acton and the Steam & Water Museum at Kew for guided tours with a party from the Transport Trust. Apart from being interesting to visit, it was a chance to catch up and gossip with several friends and acquaintances we haven't seen since last year so a really enjoyable day. We got caught up in stupid gridlocked traffic on the way home - 3 hours to travel 21 miles thanks to a truck catching fire on the M25. We weren't using the M25 but all the other roads for miles around were completely clogged with diverted traffic. :dunno: It was so late by the time we got near home that we diverted into our local Wetherspoons for a pub curry supper to save cooking. For a cheap pub meal, it was very good - I've paid much more for much worse!
Have a lovely weekend everyone, if you can dodge the rain showers.:)

Delighted to know you had such a good day. Pity aboout the hold up but to be expected, wish we had a Weatherspoons near. We often used them when we were away on holidays. Very good value in their meals. Expect puss will be spending quite a bit of time on your bed this next few days, seems we have quite a drop of rain to come. Fingers crossed for a good May. Take care. Daughter popped in this am, to pay what she had borrowed. Back to normal, nothing planned, just been told OH has booked us out for lunch tomorrow. Take care and have a good weekend. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all, after a dismal morning the sun is out just in time for those hugs on our doggie walk Penny. We have a Weatherspoons but we have never been. Been busy cleaning the bathroom, utility while hubby pushed the hoover around, nothing else planned. Looks like OH is all set to watch Rugby, so thats him sorted for the afternoon. Guess you were pleased to see your daughter Penny, at least she pays you back because many would have just forgotten. Have a good lunch tomorrow at least you will have a break from the kitchen. Keep your chin up Penny :) and take care all this includes that lazy LK.

Hi, everyone - the sun is trying really hard to come out here, too. Alas, the clouds seem to be winning. LK went out early, didn't like the rain and has been curled up at the bottom of my bed ever since. We've no plans for the weekend; I've just done an online grocery order and a pile of ironing; OH is hunkered over a circuit diagram on his PC - probably something to do with the museum at Dulwich, I've stopped asking. I thought he was going to try and work out why the car heater's stopped working; it shouldn't really matter at the end of April but it was perishing cold yesterday evening. At this rate, I'll turn into my granny and start going everywhere with a tartan rug over my legs :(

Sorry to hear of your heating problem Andere. Asked OH and he said could be one of several things. First check the fan is working, then if that is o.k. it may be the pipes that pass water by the heater and so on. Fingers crossed that the weather heats up so that you won't miss the car heater. Take care and have a good weekend. cheers Penny

Morning Penny and all, hope you enjoy your lunch today. Quite sunny out, along with your hugs it was a nice doggie walk. Have been weeding the front they grow so fast I cannot keep up, must try and attract a certain person to give me a hand out there-- some chance though. Must have a search round the freezer to see what I can find suitable for Sunday Dinner without having to much do as far as preparation?? Keep your pecker up Penny :) and take care all. :grouphug:

G'Morning, all! It's grey here, too but no rain yet. LK has just returned from a wander outside and is now recovering from her exertions on my duvet :) Glad you enjoyed your Sunday lunch, Penny - so nice to hear of somewhere good being successful. OH is waiting for the mechanic to arrive and sort out the car cooling system. Turns out the heater malfunction is a follow-on from a problem we had late last year - something to do with an airlock ... I dunno and we have a mechanic so I don't have to know! We're off to Manchester and Derbyshire next week so it'll need to be fixed by then.
Hope the weather's OK for dog walking, even if it ain't actually wonderful. Purrs and hugs of encouragement from here.
