Hi Penny, its a miserable day here too. At least they have the roof at wimbledon, just watched Laura Robson have another great win, wondering now how Andy will do.Hope your bread machine proves its worth compared to your old one. Your hubby is a busy guy, he'll be worn out by diving here and there, bet he'd rather not be going anywhere. Trying to fit doggie walk in between showers, it ain't easy, big hugs to her friend Penny :)

Hi Penny and all. Lovely sunny day here too, doggie and I just been playing football, she won me as usual. Has lots of hugs for you to celebrate. Watched the nail biting match by Laura, she got me in a sweat, thankfully she won in the end, its the volley's that get me. Just cooking an easy tea tonight, freezer hunt and found some Kievs, will do with roast taties and peas. That's him sorted. Pollen count is high still I think, not nice for hubby, or you.:) Take Care Penny and all.

Hi Penny and all. We've been watching F1, plenty tyre trouble today, I get bit bored with it, don't know about you. Quite nice afternoon doggie walking was pleasant, but me puffed a bit. She sends big hugs to you Penny and wishes you had been having walkies with us. It is surprising how quick kids change as they grow, only needs a couple of weeks not seeing them to give you a shock. Hope you ok Penny :) and all out there.

Morning Dita and all, Happy 1 st July to all. Half the year gone. Amazing. Just called to see daughter and her new decorations, very nice. Called in at Costco on the way back. Funny how my stock goes down each she calls here. ha ha. Hope doggie enjoys her walkies today. We are having one of daughter's dogs for a few weeks in October. A cross between Mastif and Bull dog. A female, lovely creature. My daughter has three dogs and a guinnea pig. Like me, always loved animals. Grandaughter just done her Duke of Edinburgh weekend and next week grandson flies off somewhere for a week to live in a forest to help local children build a school. Things they do now. Hope all are well. Take care and big hugs for doggie. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all. Happy July 1st to you too, my son's bithday tomorrow, doubt if I'll see him though, he'll be too busy at work. Your daughters doggie will be quite large, our 2 Labs were the largest we have ever had, since then they have all been diddy compared. This little doggie sends extra big hugs, I'll keep quiet about you're soon be guest, she may be upset. Grandchildren have many opportunities these days, would have loved to do what yours are doing when I was young. 2 of my Grandchildren are at University, Bristol and Wales. Grandaughter is too young 7yrs. Take Care Penny :) and all.

Well, here I am back from lunch at the club. Normally have a prawn salad.my favourite but today, to save time, had liver and onion with vegs. It was very nice except I don't like ox or calves liver, only pigs. (didn't say that to the chef tho') Apart from that, a very enjoyable lunch with old friends. I took an old lady friend of 90+, that funny ode by some chappie about 'Life gets tedious don't it' She said it had always been her favourite and would I read it for her, so I did, we had lots of laugh and it cheered us up enormously. Give doggie a big hug from me, hope she doesn't get wet today. Rain forecast. Hope it doesn't wash out Wimbledon. Take care Dita and all. cheers Penny
Almost forgot, hope son has a lovely birthday. :please:

Hi Penny, thanks for Marks birthday wishes, had a short text from him to say thanks. It was a pleasure to read the above, what a great lunch, I know that song "Sun comes up, and I'm sweating again. Life gets tedious don't it" cannot remember who it was who said/sang it. Not rained yet but it was blooming chilly on dog walkies, sending you big hugs too, she says she grateful as needed a warm up. Been a low key sort of day, hubby been for bloodtest, my daughter in law tetchy for some reason on the phone, and tomorrow it is my friends husband's funeral. We shall be out for lunch at the Rugby Club after, would have been good, had it been going for a different reason. Take Care Penny :) and all.

Morning Dita and all, very dull and cloudy here. Do hope rain keeps off for tennis. Just trying out new bread machine again. Very disappointed with first two efforts. Messing around with the ingredients so keeping fingers crossed. Our young man phone to say he will be here again Friday to do the lawns, had to laugh, hubby said to him, I will inform the baker. He loves the loaf I make each time, he has been having this for years. Says he goes home and eats it for tea the same day. Lovely lad. Hope doggie gets a nice walkies today without getting wet. Give her a big hug from me. Trying out an easy lunch today. Have you tried, Lamb Shanks, from Costco. Very nice and simple. Only take a few minutes in Micro. Daughter asked me to stock her up with these so decided to get some for myself. Only need to keep in fridge. A box of four.£ ll.99.Had them some time ago and they are very tasty. Have a nice day all. take care. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all, I'm very late today, been to my friends hubby's funeral, they had a wake at the rugby club, they laid on a good spread and they were at it like vultures, think they were having a comp to see who could put most on their plates:) Is your new bread machine much different to the others? remember you said it did 3 sizes.Think I will come and do your lawns. Doggie sends big hugs, she was late going walkies today and she hates it when neglected, tends to sulk. We haven't got a Cosco here which is a pity, those lamb shanks sound a bargain. Andy is on court again, he is starting to play better now, heart in mouth stuff cos he needs to win. Hope you ok Penny :) and all.

Morning Dita and all, watched some of Andy but was terrified he would lose so sat with eyes closed most of the time. Sorry the funeral, not a nice event. Hope all turns out well for your friend now. Off for weekly shop and lunch with son, hopefully. The lamb shanks were very very good, not much meat but as I have a small appetite one was enough for the two of us. Hubby enjoyed his and even mopped gravy with bread and butter. Weather not too bad at the moment. Been having trouble with this contraption, seem to have lost half my contacts, including the falcon one. Have asked Ann to re-print it. Have a good day all, give doggie big hug from me. She should enjoy the walkies today. cheers Penny

Just back, Sainsbury have started the lamb shanks. Frozen, take about 14 mins in the micro. £5.49 for 2. virtually the same as Costco which are 4 for £12. The one I picked up today is Rosemary and wine. Will let you know what they arelike. Enjoyed lunch with son. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all. I seem to get later and later, could not get online this morning, then we had to go out. By the time we got back the tennis was in full swing, got interested in that and then it was teatime. Pleased you enjoyed your lunch with your son. We bought a coffee & walnut cake from Tesco, it was £2.47 but it was so yummy could have eaten the lot. Will have a look at those Sainsbury lamb shanks and if you say they are good I'll get some. Just nipped on Falcon site and saw you have had problems, pleased you got the link back, There was one on the ledge a little while ago, although I didn't post.Had a game of football with the doggie a while ago,she sends big hugs in between lots of panting and water drinking, been much warmer today. Take Care Penny :) and allx

Morning Dita and all, lovely and sunny here today. Fingers crossed we are in for a little summer. Don't envy the tennis players today. Hubby having to stay indoors again. Up in his computer room. (quite happy to do nothing tho') Have just baked a dozen rolls and now waiting to finish off two loaves. All go at the moment. Hope doggie enjoys her walkies today, a bit hot tho, expect she will be drinking a lot. My birds are going mad this morning, They have already eaten a whole loaf and half a container of seeds and still they sit outside the dining room window. Must be at least 40 with babies today. One cheeky mother catches the lumps of bread as I throw it from the window. Trouble is, as one gets brave the others follow suit. Having to keep filling up their water bowl too. All go in the summer. Hope all have a super day, take care. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all. Have just spent ages replying only to lose it all Again, must have been knocked off line or something GRR! It is a glorious day, but not so if pollen is a problem the count is very high today. At least if he is tucked away in his study, it means he's out of your way :rolleye11: You have a full time job with those birdies, would not surprise me in the least if they not pop in when they smell fresh bread and help themselves  There is chickens at the bottom of our garden, as soon as they hear me they scamper to the other side of the fence for their breakfast. Doggie has long fur and does'nt take well to hot weather, an extra big bowl of water required on return from walkies today. She is sat helping me type and there is big hugs flowing over the airwaves for you. Take Care Penny :bighugs: and all.
