Hi Mo,I think you were very brave to have two knees done at once. Probably feeling a bit depressed is due to everything cooling off. Several months of activity , then operations a break away, and then all goes quiet, bound to have its effect. Won't lasts so keep your chin up. We all go thro' times like this, just have to keep going and hope times improve. Take care. cheers Penny :grouphug:

Ah thank you Dita and Penny. You have both made me feel better already.
Anyway why should I be moaning when there are far more worse off than me on the forum.

Hi everyone - horrible sodden wet Monday here in south Essex; windy, too but not at all cold. I have to go out later but I'm waiting to see if the afternoon improvement promised by the radio weatherwoman materialises. Meantime, the tumble-dryer's rumbling away in the kitchen. No more 'dried outside' freshness this year, I think
Mo, I hope you feel better soon but I suspect that Penny's correct and your depressed state is probably reaction after the long-awaited op was done. I often find that I get very 'down' after any much-anticipated event is over, as do a number of people I know. It's some kind of reaction to the reduced adrenalin flow, I think. Plus, of course, autumn and shorter days have come on so suddenly this year after seemingly weeks of good weather; maybe you've also got a degree of SAD? Be kind to yourself and I'm sure it will pass in its own good time.
Sleepy Lucy sends greetings to all cats and dogs and hopes the walkies aren't too wet.

Morning Dita and all, To start off - WHAT A MISERABLE DAY.= All done, sorry for doggie and walkies today Dita, give her a big hug from me. Really been pouring down here and my poor birds look so bedraggled I keep putting out extra food for them. Just roasting some Pork, fancied something nice today and pork is one of my favourite foods. Have Just made one loaf so will have nice and fresh for tea. Hope you are feeling better Mo, keep your pecker up as they say. Dita, remember me saying about Piri Piri chicken at Lidl for 2.89, this week they are on offer at less than half price. Pointed this out to hubby and he said, good, we will go and stock up and then I can have a whole chicken. I ask you, the man is a real foodie. Do hope puss is o.k. today and not about to wonder of this evening. Give her a big kiss from me. Take care all and have a good day in spite of the weather. cheers Penny :grouphug:

Good morning Penny, Andere and all. It is chucking it down, apart from a quick dive up to the post box for walkies, it was a rub down fur and tootsies with rough towel, she not happy and is so pleased with your hugs today and returns hugs to you Penny:) My washing will not have fresh air today either Andere, means dearer electric if tumble drier is used too often and radiators are handy for me. hugs to pussycat. Had those Lamb Shanks I got from Aldi a few weeks ago Penny, they were good and went down well with mash & veg, surprised how much tasty gravy they contained. Hubby does not like food too spicey, but those P P Chicken sound a good buy could treat myself!! Hope you ok Penny :) Andere and all.

Afternoon all.
Well today I feel so much better. I have been busying myself a bit more. I think that was a lot of the problem. I wasn't doing much since having my knees done and the time dragged so much.
Just had a tree surgeon price me to have my front hedge chopped right down. I find it soo high it is blocking all the light from coming in to my lounge. Also I feel so cut off. It will be nice to see the passers by and the neighbours from the window. One of my son in laws is going to sort out a fence or small wall to put there.
Waiting for my youngest daughter Lisa and he step granddaughter to visit. Should be any time now.
Weather atrocious. Garden looks disgraceful. My gardener is waiting to tidy it all up but can't do much in this weather.
Hope all of you are well.

Pleased you are feeling better Mo. I can easily get depressed in a winter anyway, infact we have a daylight lamp which helps. We are lucky to see more than 3 folk a day going past here from Autumn to Spring, they are all either at work or hibernated. Our garden looks pretty grim, would like to borrow a gardener :)

Morning Dita, Mo and all, Your night sounds like the one I had Mo. Doesn't it get you down, Oh well, here are up again and carrying on as usual. Dreadful weather here today, I can certainly do with doggie hugs today and return same, sorry no walkies yet. Back to square one with hubby, has another little mark on his face and has to go to Stoke Manderville once again. Marvellous how these experts see things we don't. I had a good look and all I can see is a mark like a pin-prick. Don't over-do the exercise Dita, not the weather to have aching bones. Just prepared lunch so having five minutes to myself. Take care all and big kisses for pussies if around. If you see any bargains Mo send a few to Dita and me. cheers Penny :grouphug:

Morning Penny and all. Sun and rain, sun and rain, that sums up todays weather, was dodging showers on walkies, she loved all your hugs and sends lots and lots back to you Penny :) I have to go for my yearly blood test and flu jab on the 7th Nov, dread going cos I sometimes have to return for further tests, anyway next week will have got over the tooth removal by then. We do not have a Cosco, hope you had an enjoyable lunch. Keep your chin up Penny :) and take care all.

Hi everyone - I hope you're all enjoying this lovely autumnal burst of sunshine? The rain and wind were so noisy in the night,it woke me up and I had to close the bedroom window to stop the rain getting in. But it's so stupidly warm at night!!! A couple of weeks ago, I woke up shivering in the early hours and dredged the winter duvet out of the Ottoman. Now, it's far too warm and I'm wishing I'd left the little skinny summer one on.

It's all fairly quiet here. Lucy Katt has been spending time outside in the sunshine while she can; hope your doggie's doing the same, Dita. OH is moving some of his piles of junk around in the hope that I'll believe he's having a clearout. I'll really believe it the day I see a skip outside.... I'm just ignoring him and playing with my new toy - a very whizzy blender/liquidiser which is an amazing experience after the pathetic little stick-blender I've been using for some years. I'm so taken with the thing that everything's likely to get puréed or pulped for the next few weeks!

Fingers crossed for your hubby Penny. It must be anxious for him having the investigations hovering like a black cloud but better to be safe than sorry, no?
