Street Party

Postby Maywalk » Thu Jan 06, 2011 10:49 pm

My neighbour called earlier to ask hubby and myself if we would like to join in a street party on the day that Prince Willam marries Kate Middleton.
I said we would love to even if it was just to meet any newcomers in the Close where we live.
I did point out that I was willing to put money in the kitty for any food or drink but NOT to rely on us getting it.
Reminds me of the Victory street parties after the war.

Yes there will be street parties where my daughter and also my sister lives. Great fun.
The last street parties we had was the wedding of Charles and Diane then the Queens Jubilee.
