Solihull? Where my old Series I Landrover was made!

Little Sir Echo
How do you do
Hello, Hello

Little Sir Echo
I'm feeling blue
Won't you come over and play

You're a nice little fellow
I can tell by your voice
But you're always so far away

"I'm shy, Mary Ellen, I'm shy.
It does seem so naughty, oh my!
Kissing is nice, that I've often heard say,
But, still, how to do it? I don't know the way.
So you put your arm round my waist,
I promise I won't scream or cry,
So you do the kissing and cuddling instead
'Cos I'm shy, Mary Ellen, I'm shy."

I remember a story a woman told, many years ago. Her little boy was six and wanted to walk back from school on his own, like a big boy. Very safe area, a little village school, away from all traffic.

She agreed but was concerned and on tenterhook, counting the minutes, until he returned. He told her that he had walked all the way, with a very tall black man. "What did he say", she asked "He did not say anything, we just danced and danced, all the way here". The next afternoon she asked and the little boy said the tall black man had not been there.

So she hid outside the school and watched. Her little boy came out, squinting in the afternoon sunshine and smiled. He began to dance and his long long black shadow danced with him, all the way home.
