I came online yesterday but was too choked to write anything. Just does not seem possible.
Such a short time ago there was all the excitement of her wedding, the birth of the little ones for whom she was the most 'special' grandma.
I guess we need a permanent memorial, at the top of the Rowan Tree? To remember the kind, gentle, loving person who created and made this forum possible, for the rest of us?
I have just arrived home after being away in Queensland for a week or so and I can't believe Eve has gone. This is dreadful news. I had the pleasure of meeting Eve twice while I was in the UK and staying with her for a few days when I visited Scotland.
My heart goes out to Davy and her family, may she rest in peace.

I fully agree. We all feel in a personal way about losing her. When we have had bereavements, she organised for the donations from members and was like someone we had always known. When my husband died, not only was there a wonderful surprise on the funeral morning, of the gorgeous flowers arriving ut also a cheque to each of his two charities.
It is something we would really have to speak to Davy about.
I'd be more than happy to have something permanent on the forum header......and I have had another thought as well, but that would also be on the internet...and we can't just assume that Davy and the family will be comfortable with us doing something which will always be out on the internet reminding them suddenly of their loss if they come across it.
Oddy, relevant to your wise words, there is also the fact Eve was/is on Facebook. I know Davy has far too much on his plate to think just now about cancelling Facebook.......but that is one instance of a continued online presence of a site, with which, as you say, loved ones may not be comfortable at all.
Toolip2 is presently unable to access the Rowan Tree, it won't accept password, so she has asked me to convey her deepest sympathy to Evie's family and to say how saddened she is to hear of the loss of Evie.
I have been in touch with Cookie and his wife Mags, both old time members of the Hags Castle Forum, and they would like to express their sorrow and deep condolences to Davy and Eve's family.
