Looking forward to this afternoon..........

Postby Maywalk » Thu Feb 24, 2011 12:05 pm

because I had a phone call last night from a VERY old friend who will be coming to see me later today.

She used to be a Land Army Girl in WW2 and is about 87.
Still very active and going to art classes with her daughter and very very clever at making rag dolls and knitted animals.
I am hoping she brings something with her to show me because if I can get my camera to work I will take some photos of them.
We have been friends now for over 50 years.

After 50 years of either working with me or knowing me she knows what sort of person I am Monsy.
Posh I can never be but as long as I am clean thats all that bothers me.

Many thanks Mo and Corrie.
I just hope that she brings some of her things with her.
That reminds me I will have to go and see if I can remember how to work the flipping camera.
These new fangled ideas get me flummoxed at times.

Maisie, I suppose by this time you and your old friend have met ... it's only 10a.m. here.

I recently made a trip to see an old friend of mine ... we worked together almost 40 years ago. It was as if we'd never been apart. Lots of hugs. Lots of chatter. Lots of wonderful memories.

I hope you and your friend had just such a wonderful time.
