Hubby and I had our young next door neighbours in last night showing us the video and photos of their visit to Finland last week.
It was down to 34 degrees below zero and they had to wear four layers of thermal clothing to go and visit the Ice Palace. It was extremely interesting to see the alter all carved out in ice AND real weddings taking place there.
I was also very impressed and surprised when Jenny came out of the log cabin they had been allocated with a cup of boiling water in her hand.
As she threw it up in the air it was SO cold it turned into snow before it hit the ground.
Fantastic photography and I thoroughly enjoyed the hour or so spent in their company.

Has any one else ever been to Finland.?
I have never been but it must be a once in a lifetime experience.

I've only seen it on the telly. I would have loved to have a go at flinging the boiling water though!

It was truly amazing the way that boiled water turned into snow before it hit the ground.
