Many years ago when I was a nursing Auxilliary on the Maternity ward, Bill and I moved to a new house.
After a couple of days i bumped into our next door neighbour. As I introduced myself she said.." I remember you. You work on the maternity ward"
"That's right" I replied not recognising the woman. Sorry but I don't remember you."
"Well I remember when I was in hospital two years ago and I thought how caring you were as you were the only one who comforted me when I was crying
with the three day baby blues."
What a lovely compliment. Something one does automatically yet it was remembered.
Have you had a lovely compliment that sticks in your mind?
