I have been going through old documents that I found in an old album and came across this
advert below.
My f-i-l used to own buses and he purchased one of these in 1929.
They dont hold many passengers as you can see but f-i-l always made sure a piano player was employed to tickle the ivories and I bet they had a good old singsong when going out for the day somewhere.
Unfortunately I have not got the real photo of it but if you look closely you will see the piano at the back of the driver.
Can you imagine going for a day out in this?????????????
Lovely bit of family history to keep and my hubby was just a year old when this spectacular bus was bought.
When the Midland Red buses took over f-i-l could not cope with the competition and was put out of business.
