Dita, I am so sorry to hear about your OH. Even if we are used to illnesses, it is still frightening when you have to get them into hospital all of a sudden. Your adrenalin kicks in. I hope he has a good night and may be back home tomorrow. :grouphug:

Hi Penny and all, at last I think I know whats going on, I THINK. As you know he had only had tests to cobble dogs with a few weeks ago, but of course this breathing problem the other night led me to no alternative because it was beyond me, he has had loads of more tests and last night was told that after the Doc had been round this morning they would check him out the hosp for sure, was waiting all morning and around 12.30 he was told that some nurse had left a note for him to see the Lung specialist in the morning so he would be allowed after the consultation with him tomorrow, apparently the tests were all ok but for that so your guess is as good as mine. Have been going back and forth with calls and texts to S.I.L , my Son, friends and neighbours explaining this and that because OH says his battery on mobile is low and so switches his phone off with orders for me to inform everybody :) Would love to be sat on the edge of the canal watching the boats Penny, could bring Dolly too. Its at these times when having friends like you on Rowan prove to be worth their weight in gold, so thanks very much for your concerns they mean so much xxxxx

Hi at last. Just got back. Been sitting watching the boats and doing crosswords. I am pleased at least no bad news was awaiting us. Do hope all goes well in the morning. What a worry for you. Fingers crossed. Bet Dolly has been wondering what's up. Give her an extra big hug from me.
Just to make you smile. Hubby was moving my car so I waited across the lawn whilst he got his out. All of a sudden a lovely badger dashed from under his car and across the lawn in front of me. I had time to say Hello, what are you doing here. Then he dashed into the from hedges and trees. Never ever seen one that close before. Made my day. Wish he would stay as a pet.
Now take care and keep us informed. Cheers Penny

Hi Penny how honoured to be almost face to face in your own garden with a badger, such beautiful creatures, not so nice for us when on the way home the other day we came across a young fox lying in the middle of the road. Husband is due to ring at 8pm and give me a last chat for the evening, do hope he gets back tomorrow with no more shocks. Been watching Prince Harry opening the games, I have so much respect for him. Very rare for me to be in charge of the remote :) Big hugs from Dolly and me Penny, and take care all xx

Dita, I hope it will be tomorrow. I hope you get a good night's sleep too.

Studying Prince Harry's face while he was speaking, I thought he had a look of Grandad Philip about him - that slight beakiness.

Hi Penny and all, less than hour ago I had a call to say he was stood outside casualty waiting for a lift home, so I shot next door and asked Deb a favour if she would go pick him up, and she did. Have heard lots of not so good reports as regards treatment, cleanliness etc which has put me off our local hospital entirely, so have shoved him in the shower because he says he has not had one since he went in the other night. Diagnosis COPD Secondary Diagnosis/Co Morbidities- type 2 respiratory failure is on his notes. Anyway that's it for the moment guess there will be more info later, was not happy about what was said about the NHS. I am so grateful to get that off my chest to you Penny, Andere, Vannin and everyone, big hugs from Dolly and me please take care all xxxx Penny that stiffness you are having is enough to wear anyone down, a warm sunny climate can help, I will go with you :)

Thank goodness been waiting on edge all day. Pity about the hospital. I expect shortage of staff is part of the prob. Never mind. he is home now and in the best hands possible. Now you relax and take care of yourself. Big hug for Dolly. Cheers Penny

Thank goodness he's home. Bet he feels 150% better just for having that shower. Hospitals are such hot and sweaty places with their plastic mattresses etc. Look after both of yourselves and take it easy for a while. :bighugs: to you both.

Yippee! We booked the removals company this morning. They're coming to collect our stuff on Sat 7th, delivering it to Lincs on Mon 9th. That really feels like positive movement and I've been smiling all day. We've just wasted an entire afternoon taking apart a wardrobe that I'm giving to a charity. They came to collect it this morning but couldn't get it down the stairs so I said I'd see what we could do ... I just said to OH, next time I feel charitable, for goodness sake stop me!!

Hi Penny and all, its a sunny day and all at this house is back almost to normal, one thing for sure Andere, OH does smell much sweeter and his clothes are freshening out on the line :) so pleased you are now able to plan about your move without wondering too much about -"what date" you now know the date, LK will be so happy to see you, and sod the wardrobe :) xx. Wondering if you have been for your shop today Penny, we didn't go thought we'd give it a miss for a day or two because of the last few days, mind you do think he is more capable than me despite of what happened, Dolly was even treated to a walk without any hassle which is a one off I usually have to encourage. Big hugs to Penny from Dolly & me, and take care all in our little circle xxxxx
