Afternoon. Dita and all. Lovely and sunny now. Young chappie just arrived so OH has just moved himself. Son came last night and said daughter and wife had a super time in Turkey. Seems young waiters were falling over themselves to serve granddaughter. Had to laugh. Grandson did his last look round of Uni.s. Said such a shame the Sheffield one was very grubby and decrepit with no good accomodation.cSo. will have to wait and see what marks he gets before deciding where he can go. Son was rather tired and suggested we change our shopping day. To Wed. So that we can have lunch together again. I'll sort that out. Hope everyone is OK and that you are feeling better Dita. Big hug for Dolly and soft ones for Pussies. Hope you are near putting all away Andere and give Logan big hello from us all. Cheers Penny

Hi Penny, good to know they had a good time in Turkey, seems like your son could have done with a rest too-------he sounds just like my son who never stops----. A little while ago I lost a couple of my dear friends, also my life long friend has her daughter failing fast with cancer despite lots and lots of chemo to stop it spreading, I got another blow today when another friend of many years rang to tell me she has throat cancer and needs chemo, she has a mentally ill son the same as my OH, we understand each other. Just had my OH in Hospital and I could feel better :) What a carry on, what next I keep asking myself?? but no good letting it get on top because that just makes things worse. Will have to change my shopping day to Wednesday Penny, maybe we will meet up then----could invite young man too :) Hugs Dolly & Me xx

Thanks Dita, got a bit worried. Lovely and sunny with the odd cloud passing now and again. OH debating whether to pop out for an hour. Just had bangers and mash. Anyone tried the dried mash from Sainsbury's. Must say,it is great. In a box of 4 packs and and per box just £1. From pack to table max 10 mins. All it takes is 1\2 litre water, bring to boil and stir in powder. I added one teaspoon of butter to water but that was it. Excellent. For anyone interested in food I served with sweet onions. Buy frozen. Defrost, cook gently and when soft add tablespoon of Demerara sugar and stir until melted. Very tasty. Sorry if I went on but did enjoy and thoughtful good to share. Adding, I did the whole packet and my birds loved. the rest of the mash. As it is so cheap not worth doing the packets in half.. take care and have agood afternoon. Cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all, we keep getting a bit of sun but lurking black clouds blocking it out Grr! Will have to try that Sainsburys mash, I did try their crumble mix the other week just to see what it was like, its ok for quickness but prefer my own although may use it again. Have been busy bathroom cleaning this morning and had a quick sandwich for lunch, Dolly waiting for a bit of fun and games while OH does what he does in his study. Big hugs from us both Penny :) and take care all xx

Hi, all. Lovely sunny and breezy day here. I got a line of washing dry this morning; not bad for October, huh?
This afternoon, we went for a wander round the Sausage Festival up by the castle and came back with the cool bag stuffed with sausages, gammon, local cheese, haselet and even some late strawberries. It was great fun, quite busy but a really nice atmosphere. LK is now on my knee, trying to help me type this!
Back to work tomorrow, sorting and unpacking. Nowhere near done yet, Penny - about 7 years should see the job finished!

So delighted to hear of your good times with Logan. Keep it up, time passing so quickly he will be escorting you before you know it. Don.t worry about the ear scan. Nothing to it. Bet you are looking forward to a break with son and crew. Good for you. I think tonight the comedian might be put off but they are getting on very well. A bit cross about the new had, gets carried away with what she knows. Just cooking chicken for lunch so off to the kitchen. Take care and enjoy yourself. Cheers Penny :grouphug:
