Hi Andere, I am glad there is a load off your mind, about the house. My fingers are crossed! I looked out at my lovely show of spring flowers too in the heatwave and felt happiness from it. Lo and behold, my two magnolias of which one is the Starflower variety, both covered in blossom at the weekend are now bare. So I am glad to have admired them at their best.

Well, the Andrew appointment surpassed all we might have expected - and not in an anticipated way. After a 20-minute assessment, he said it was healing so well, I actually don't still have a need for therapy - either hands-on or exercises. He thinks my ideal way forward is to get back to my Movers and Shakers, which will be suitable exercise and which I planned to resume next week anyway. Full healing takes 5 or 6 months and I am approaching the 2-month mark, so will pace myself.

Andrew is about 6ft 3ins and looks young, about mid-20s - like a younger Tom Hiddlestone (who I don't actually like.) :sunglasses:

That's excellent news, Vannin. From the way you described your injuries at the beginning, it sounded like it might be months and months before moving & shaking was a serious possibility. You're obviously a woman of strong constitution. Just don't overdo things, pleeeease!

Another quiet day here. It started out fine, quite warm and sunny but is now deteriorating to grey and gusty with rain not far away. Nothing much planned except a quick supermarket trip to fetch a few bits and pieces I'm running out of and maybe catch up on some emails and sociable phone calls.
Hope all are OK and having a pleasant day.

Morning Dita and all, hope everyone is OK. Had hoped for a little run out this PM but legs decided otherwise. Making marmalade yesterday was a bit too much, serves me right. Also went crackers and made my recipe of Cheese-cake. Always remember Eve trying it out and then saying. she wished she never had because she couldn,t stop eating it. Are you feeling brighter Dita, big hug for Dolly and soft hug for pussies. cheers Penny,

Really good news from Vannin, must be all the good vibes we have been sending that has helped a little bit------hopefully :) Think selling your old house is a sensible solution Andere, my garden is an explosion of blues, yellow and there is lily of the valley peeping through too.
.
Hi Penny and all, pleased to hear the inlaws are doing ok, it will have helped having family over from far parts to cheer them as well. Hope you are trying to rest those legs of yours because a little bird tells me you are maybe still over doing it a bit. I'm battling on Penny, OH at hospital tomorrow hopefully it will be good news, I say to myself when he gets sorted out I will be fine and be able to relax, its taking a long while though-------physically he is likely to be much fitter than me anyway, what are we like Penny ? Went to our nearest little shop Asda for a few needed things, brought back a couple of their battered chicken sweet and sour meals and stuck them in the microwave, they were quite tasty Penny , Big hugs from Dolly and me :) and take care all xx

Good afternoon everyone. It keeps going darkish here as if its going to rain. Then bright sunshine like now.Not very warm though.
I couldnt get warm lastnight I was really shivering so I went to put my pjs on.Sat in the armchair with a hotwater bottle and blanket over me.Noddy was watching tv.Suddenly I had to shoot to the bathroom where I chucked up  So at 9ish I started to make Noddy.s bed with him,but left him on his own to make it.I just needed to go to bed to get warm.I didnt sleep very well so going to bed earlier tonight.

Noddy hasn;t seen the doctor about his swollen feet yet as he can;t get a appointment. He told the nurse on Monday but she just said see the dr.

I heard something rattling about in the washing machine this afternoon when I got the washing out there was my blue inhaler.I will keep the casing but not the middle bit.Hope I have a spare working one here.

Tomorrow evening I am going out with my daughter to celebrate her birthday we have to take her dog with us.He is such a slow walker we got set out at 6 for booking at 7pm. :roflmao:

Hi, everyone. Wet, wet, wet AGAIN!
My new gardener rang first thing to say she's got a chucking-up bug and feels awful so we've rescheduled for Wednesday. As the weather's so foul, she probably wouldn't have achieved much anyway. It really is dire. LK has reverted to hibernation mode and is snoring loudly in her half-igloo bed. I'm tempted to join in!

Talking of bugs, are you OK now, Maggieh? There do seem to be a lot of weird minor ailments about. You'd hope the cold might have killed them off.

Dita, I hope your OH is getting on OK at the hospital and brings encouraging news home with him. You're right. It's difficult to feel on top form yourself when there's the constant, niggling worry about spouses. :bighugs:

I've just put a gammon joint in the slow cooker for tonight and now I'm trying to work up enough enthusiasm to wash the kitchen floor ... Oh, fiddlesticks! It'll do another day.

Hi Penny and all, its decided to rain so any games and walkies will have to wait. OH has gone to the hospital to see the man to do with bowel problems, just noticed he hasn't took his mobile with him AGAIN ? if they keep him in he will have problems getting in touch with me quickly again , also I do not know whats going on as regards doing his lunch etc. Hope you are feeling better today Maggieh, you are about right about the cold I too have been real shivery the last few days and still do, as for washing your inhaler :( that can be catastrophic when running out which I frequently do, the doc not happy about giving you any extra and I often run out. Have you been taking it a bit easier Penny ? hope so, I might pop back later to let you know any news---if any, hugs from us both here and take care all xx :grouphug:
Hi Andere we have the same weather today, you are right about what you say about our worries over our OH's -----we turn into their mothers :hide: Ha ha sod the floor Andere :roflmao:

Well I do have to wash the kitchen floor today. Wet Wheelchair Wheels. Try saying that quickly.
It hasn't rained so far today and I think it was dry yesterday we've had a lot of sun but a bitingly cold wind with it. The kitchen floor is now overdue for that scrub.
We're settling down quite well and seem to have a routine and I've bought a new sewing machine not that that has anything to do with it but if I mess up the tension on this one I could get violent.
I'm so pleased you're improving, Viv, Andere seems to be over her health problems as well so we're just waiting for Margaret and penny to be fighting fit and raring to go. Hang in there dita I hope you're okay.

Hi Penny and all, just popped back on to tell you he outcome of OH's result from the consultation with the bowel specialist, because they are unable to give him an Anesthetic for the operation he needs they are leaving the bowel polyps for now in the hope they do not turn into the unmentionable, that's about it for now and it was the result I had in my mind anyway, thankfully they are not giving him more medication the 8 he takes along with the side effects is enough. My Grandaughter from Kent has not answered my question yet about this painting stone game which is spreading round Kent like a wildfire, I've been waiting now for three days for her answer? little Minx xx

We cancelled our meal out on Friday as I didnt fancy a oyster then. :roflmao: We have rebooked for the 4th May.

Has anyone tried a oyster? If so what do they taste like please. It is a seafood restaurant on the end of a pier.Should be nice watching the waves while eating.lol.

I went to see Logan yesterday before he goes on his holidays. They are flying to Ibiza next Saturday so I wont see him for 3 weeks. He will have grown bigger in that time.We are having a skype while they are there.

Chicken casserole in oven for my dinner later.

Afternoon is rock painting for me then varnish maybe.I might try and put picture on later.Have a jolly everyone.

Well, in my strictly Philistine opinion, they're nowt but salty little lumps of gristle and I wouldn't go out of my way for them. But some feel differently so you can only try them and see.

Dita, sounds like your OH is having to play the "wait and see" game which, while it can't entirely set your minds at rest, at least isn't bad news. Much like my OH who still has no diagnosis for his odd symptoms but they seem to have run out of things to test/examine for.

Nice to see you back here, Marieann. I don't envy you the wet wheelchair wheels - we have enough trouble with a wet cat who seems to grow extra paws when it's rainy! Cool, windy and grey today but so far, no rain.

Had a fun night out yesterday; I got tickets for Richard Digance at the New Theatre Royal . Hadn't seen him for years and was wondering if he'd still make me laugh. He does. Well worth seeing if he comes to a theatre near you.
