Hi Penny and everyone, Its a beautiful day here in Lincolnshire, bet its the same over your way too Andere :) Do hope you enjoy your drawing class today Maggieh, what Andere has said to you about your décor reminds of a woman who came to live next door for a while------I nicknamed her Goth, she had coffins, skulls, black curtains and all sorts of weird things in the place including a real hearse which was parked next to our fence for 1yr 5months, it was great fun for me as I couldn't avoid it when in my garden, I am so pleased she has now gone along with her black limo. The bitch had the cheek to complain about Dolly barking and called her a horrible little Mutt-----so I called her Goth :) Hugs from Dolly and yours truly xx

Hi Dita and all. Kept popping in but assumed everyone is having a busy day. Lovely weather here with a clear blue sky. Just had pork ribs with baked potato and for first time made plum sauce. Have you ever made it. Out of this world. OH not only had it with the BBQ ribs but had it with Icecream as well. Have to pop out this afternoon to the bank. Since lots of banks closed its a nightmare trying to get info on the phone and our nearest now is quite a run from here. So will end up by the lake feeding ducks. OH says in a few years time we will be ringing the doctor, a voice will say, what are the symptoms, you say what is wrong, and ping, out through a letter box will come your prescription. Just imagine it. Pleased she was not my neighbour Dita, my imagination would run wild. Was she carrying her chosen hearse? Big hug for Dolly and little ones. cheers Penny.

Good afternoon, glad we are all sharing a lovely day. When I got up at 7am this morning there was a lovely red sun looking at me.It was worth getting up early to see it.

Andere no leather furniture here :roflmao: But they will blend in with my tv and fire as they are black too.

Glad the goth wasn't my next door neighbour either Dita or Penny. My curtains should block the sunlight out.Although they are black it won't be a morbid colour.

Drawing was much better today it was grapes and strawberries had to draw a larger version of them.I can't go next Wednesday as off to the drs.So teacher said draw some fruit in my main drawing book as thats what I would have been doing.

I am going to think now with my eyes shut for a little while.Ha ha. :roflmao:

Was her name Morticia, by any chance?

A lovely sunny and warm day here, too. My sheets are outside on the line and I can't imagine that's going to happen many times more this year.
I've at last finished cooking and bagging up all the apples I bought on Sunday and now they're in the freezer, all ready to provide some nice healthy desserts over the coming winter. Talk of desserts reminds me, I've only had plum sauce once and I thought it was a mistake and they'd brought me something that should have been poured over ice cream or served with custard. It was so sweet, I could feel my teeth dissolving so ...never again!
I've just found some tiny cyclamen plants flowering in a corner of the garden. I had no idea they were there; certainly can't remember them from last year. This place is full of surprises.

Ha Ha Andere never thought about calling her that, I used to enjoy that comedy too. Lisa/Goth was having a relationship with the guy next door and he was telling me what a wonderful machine that hearse was and showing me round, apparently not only do they have a powerful engine but they also fit 2 coffins one on top of the other, because of a shelf separating the two unless you know about the other you cannot tell its there, he decided to give me a demonstration and disappeared completely---he frightened my OH to death when he came to have a nosey :) Our houses are not too near there is a drive between us and that was where the machine was parked but believe me it was a strange experience having her living next door for sure. Its a long while since I ate any plum sauce Penny can imagine lunch was very yummy with pork, the sweeter the better---- and you didn't save me any. I was wondering how you were going on at drawing today Maggieh, so pleased you sounded more up-beat about it . Hugs from us both in Lincs Penny and take care all xx

Good morning. Another lovely warm day here.I have just got back from the local co op.Everytime I go in there something has jumped up in price at 10pence a time.

My get up and go has gone somewhere today. If you find it send it to me please. :roflmao:

What do you think of the couple on Strictly who were caught kissing out one night in their private life.It takes two to tango. Its about time the papers and tv left them alone.

Mr.noddy will be here this afternoon.I will be sat at my laptop till dinnertime at 5ish.Then I will close it down and sit near him watching tv.I can't stand getting into watching something and he channel hops. :tantrum2:

I might be out tomorrow to see a new baby get a cuddle with him.

Have a jolly afternoon everyone.

Good afternoon everyone,
Not a good day here had rain during the night, and its a bit like winter today, may put the washing out as its blowy be good for the towels.
Have hoovered all through the house today and going to have a cosy afternoon doing nothing.

Tomorrow we are collecting a leaf blower so cant wait to go and play with it,providing its a dry day we brought it from a selling site called Shpock, its interesting to have a look on.
I had a scary time in the kitchen when cooking sausages, suddenly the frying pan caught alight and flames shot up,i quickly grabbed the teatowel and got it wet and as turned to put it on the pan the flames went out, gosh i went to jelly with shock, nothing like that has happened before.

Roll on tomorrow to watch strictly come dancing after all the goings on this week.

It is a pretty foul day here but considering the weather conditions in other parts of the world, the least said the better?? Wow! Twin can imagine seeing those flames over your sausages would shock anyone -----at least your common sense overruled an urgent situation and held you well thankgoodness. Strictly could be quite a one off tomorrow after all the publicity going on all week as regards a certain couple, it will have drawn extra watches I bet?? Too wet for a game of footie so will have to pacify Dolly another way this afternoon, we both send hugs and take care everyone xx

Asked about the two injections and it seems No.4 is for the under 65s.only.Hope everyone is keeping well and ready for a good weekend. Looking forward to Strictly tonight. (lot of fuss about nothing). Big hug for Dolly and little ones. Take care. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all, :) :) least said about that car the better :) Got pretty high winds here but very little rain considering other parts of the UK getting a bit of a battering.
:grouphug: Hope you didn't pick a cold up after getting soaked going for your jab Penny, anyway Dolly sends you a big hug incase the after effects are with you today :bighugs: I too look forward to Strictly tonight, I guess it will prove very popular. Have an enjoyable weekend and take care all :please:

Still very windy here but no rain since yesterday. It's very warm (24C) and horribly muggy; feels wrong to be out in just a tee shirt in mid October. I was nearly blown off my feet while waiting for the bus to town earlier - quite scary as I'm not a frail lightweight by any means! I'm just thankful we're not in Wales or SW England where it has been so much worse.

Not much to report from the last few days. The car passed its MOT without trouble yesterday - a relief as I was concerned that some of the monstrous pot holes around here may have damaged the suspension (happened to the previous car and was eye wateringly expensive to fix).

Tomorrow is probably our last vintage bus trip of the year - we'll be up early and off to Skipton in W Yorks for a bus running day. It should be a lovely run if the weather stays decent - gorgeous scenery around those parts and I've always loved Skipton since I was a child. Must get an early night tonight. Zzzzzz

I hope nobody's suffered any floods or fallen slates in this weather. Enjoy your weekend, all, before winter sets in.

Morning Dita and all, wow what a night, rained all through and still coming down. Just what was needed. Our young chappie phoned to say he was coming Monday, not sure if it will have ceased by then. Just about to start roasting lamb for lunch. We watched, Strictly last night, I though it was excellent and Kevin and partner were the best. See what the rest of us think this evening. I hope Andere has better weather that us for her trip to Scipton. Take care all, big hug for Dolly and same for little ones. cheers Penny
