Thanks Penny, this egg problem is a lot bigger than we first thought.

The affected eggs are unlikely to be on sale as whole eggs, or even raw eggs.

They were sold to processors for use in cakes, mayonnaise and the like.

Just as unpleasant, but harder to avoid!
