Did anybody watch the start of the 6 part series last night?

I did and found it very interesting. A woman accuses her date of rape and he honestly believes the act was consensual. I believe him - but what happened to her? She was in a trance - like somebody drugged but no sign of drugs in her blood test...

We have the ex husband cheating on her with her own sister...

It will be interesting to see how it unfolds...

My problem with "multi-parters" as opposed to series with self contained episodes is that by the time the next one comes around I;ve forgotten what the previous one was about!

If I try to record them all and "binge watch" I get bored and fall asleep!

I try to watch non taxing stuff like Trumpton or the Teletubbies!

I think it was those complex Scandi detective multi-part things a few years back that prompted me to give up watching tv. Life's just too short to put up with trying to read subtitles at the same time as following the (often badly lit) action on screen and then remember what happened until the next episode. :dunno:

I'd rather read a good book.

I enjoyed watching Liar, Carole but, running over 6 episodes suggests it will be heavily padded out and may get slow and boring.

Just one thing that I found at odds with her account is that he said that he hadn't bought any condoms and she told him that there were some in the bathroom cabinet. As her husband doesn't live there, why would there be any in the house? She says that she doesn't want a sexual relationship with a man at present; again, why would there by any in the house? Why would the surgeon think there would be any there so, she must have told him where he could find some.

I love it but agree with you Maisie that it's all about sex these days as if it had just been invented. No leaving to the imagination.
Do we really need to see all of this. I certainly don't but I do love a good drama so have to put up with it.
My favourite was The Affair. Brilliant storyline but sadly full of sex. I also am watching the second series of Doctor Foster. Absolutely love it.
