Useless Appointment

Postby lavonne » Mon Nov 20, 2017 9:16 pm

A couple of years ago a malignant mole was removed from my arm at our local hospital, this later spread elsewhere and I was referred to a specialist hospital where I have been attending for further treatment for cancer .Then out of the blue I got a letter to go back to our local hospital today.I saw a Dr Id never seen before who knew nothing about my case and seemed very unsure of himself, he didnt ask how I was or examine me, read a few notes asked how often I attended the other hospital, then said he was discharging me from his clinic.I was furious,it was a nasty day, I have to et 2 buses there and back ,allowing at least an hour I could have done without this useless appointment

I can very well understand how you feel Lavonne.
Pity you never asked why it was you had to go there just to be told you were being discharged.
Having said that they perhaps have to show figures as to who need not go any more for what ever it is they went for in the first place. The whole caboodle are getting into a right balls up and the amount of nursing staff that are leaving the NHS is alarming. What with that and the police and fire brigades being cut down it makes one wonder were the hell its all going to end.
